The management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) warmly welcomed a delegation from Heritage Christian University (HCU), a former affiliate, at the Council Chamber.
The delegation, led by the President of Heritage Christian University, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, expressed gratitude for the longstanding relationship between the two institutions.

Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah commended KNUST for its mentorship over the years, following the signing of the affiliate agreement in 2012.
He highlighted how KNUST’s guidance has significantly contributed to Heritage Christian University attaining a presidential charter.
“KNUST has stood by us and mentored us over the years, and within a short period, we have gained the presidential charter. With this milestone, HCU has become a fully-fledged university,” he remarked.
Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah added that part of their visit was to seek further guidance and expertise to help sustain their growth and maintain excellence in academic standards.
He was accompanied by the Vice-President and Provost of HCU, Professor Williams Abayaawien Atuilik, and the Registrar of HCU, Dr. Christopher Akwaa-Mensah.

The Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, congratulated Heritage Christian University on achieving this milestone. She noted that KNUST takes pride in mentoring institutions that uphold high academic standards.
“You have always stood for what we stand for, which is ensuring that standards are maintained. It is not surprising that after 13 years of mentorship, you have successfully attained university status,” she stated.
Professor Dickson emphasized that KNUST remains committed to supporting Heritage Christian University beyond its attainment of the presidential charter.
“We still have an obligation to follow your progress and support your development. KNUST is always open to sharing our technical expertise and keeping a positive watch on your growth,” she assured.
She further advised the delegation to avoid complacency and instead seek continuous improvement to maintain high academic and institutional standards.
Also present at the meeting were the Pro Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor David Asamoah; the Senior Assistant Registrar and Affiliations Officer, Mrs. Oluwakemi Abisola Titiloye; and the Junior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Gibridu Oppong.
